Giude to Building a Deck!
First , think of a Pokemon to Base it off of.
For our Example, We'll use Empoleon.
Second, think of a card or two that could support it or combo with it well.
There's two good Cards for this: Octillery and Mantine.
Chose what you want.
Octillery to help Snipe or Mantine for Free retreat.
In this Case we'll choose Mantine
Now that you have you Main and supporting pokes, Start With the lines!
Here's an example list
4-2-3-1 Empoleon Lv. X ( I'll explain The weird lines later)
2-2 Mantine ( only 2 because they're supperters)
Now that you've made your pokemon line I'll explain the trainers:
Here are some of the Most Commonly used Cards in this type of deck:
Rare Candy- The Most important Trainer in Most Decks. Lets You Skip the Stage one and put the stage two on top of the Basic.
Proffessor Oaks Visit/Bills Mantenence: Draw Power The more Cards you Draw the better!
Cessation Crystal: To shut down opponents pokemons Powers
Castaway: To search for energies, Cessation Crystal, and POV/ BM
Scott: To search foe Glacias Stadium And Castaway
Glacias Stadium: To get rid of Empoleons Horid lightning weakness
Mow that the Main trainers are covered, lets move on to energies:
A common mistake that many players make is having to much energy in a deck; You only should have about 18.
Here is a reccomended energy line for Empoleon.
14 Water energy
2 Double Rainbow (for extra energy)
2 Scramble (extra energy when behind in prizes)
So There you have it!
A basic Empoleon Deck!
Heres The Rundown:
Pokemon: 14
4-2-3-1 Empoleon
2-2 Mantine
Trainers ...
4-POV
3-Castaway
4-Rare Candy

Add other Trainers you Want...
